SpaceX Starship Poster Series

October 2020 –  Poster/2D Animation, Photoshop, After Effects, 3600 x 5400 px

I was inspired by SpaceX’s Starship project for this typographic poster and motion graphic series. This one was particularly important to me because of my love of space and technology, and the project let me tap into some of my other creative inspirations such as Constructivism.

I began this project with the intent to illustrate the tremendous power and scale of SpaceX’s Starship program. My first step was to look back on how the space age has influenced design in the past, particularly with Soviet Constructivism. As we enter a new space age I thought it fitting to modernize the conventions seen in the movement and carry them over to the new technologies and ideas we see today.
